More Information
Dash & Will- a.k.a Charlie Thorpe and Josie DeSousa-Reay- simply cannot be ignored. There’s always been something else at play. This diverse collection of songs draws on a wide variety of influences. Album highlight and hit-in-the-waiting Painful has a DNA traceable back to forgotten Australian pop duet Leonardo’s Bride and also recalls Howling Bells chanteuse Juanita Stein and even echoes of Chrissie Hynde. Put simply, Up In Something is a classic-sounding pop record. It’s just the right mix of power-pop, ballads and dance grooves.Track Listing

Reviews
Definitely one not to miss.
‘Up In Something’ is what you would expect it to be. Created by two young ladies with simple lyrics and a little attitude a classic pop album with plenty of infectious radio friendly hits ensues. Reminiscent of another Aussie female pop duo needless to name, this album has a more alternative rock vibe. Every track on the album sounds happily upbeat even though the lyrics might sing otherwise. Dash & Will are certainly vocally talented and sure know how to use it to perform and convey the lyrics in a fun attitude filled way that will have you singing along like you were on stage. Unfortunately at times they do lack emotion and passion behind them. Favourite tracks on the album include ‘Fighting Over Nothing’, the smoother sounds of ‘Save Me’, and ‘Some Like it Hot’. Turn the music up and warm up those vocals this album is a massive attack on the pop charts it’s a wonder why Dash & Will didn’t explode onto the scene with their first single ‘Pick Me Up’.
CD Review
"Up in Something" is finally going to put Dash & Will on the map and give them the attention they deserve! The 2 young australian singer/songwriters have come up with a radio friendly, catchy album which features a little bit of everything for music lovers. "Fighting Over Nothing" grabs your attention with a catchy chorus, where as "Save Me"is a more mellow song. My 2 favourite tracks are "Out of Control" and "Too Young Too Dumb" which both have a real rock feel to them. Overall a great album you can have a sing along to!
