It’s the ultimate accolade in Australian music. Artist versus artist in a head to head race for supreme glory. Where the outcome lies in the hands of music fans nationwide. It is the almighty [V] OZ ARTIST 2009.
Channel [V] today announced the return of [V] OZ ARTIST – the only award where fans get to vote for the Australian act they love the most. Now in its thirteenth year, this is an award that artists desire, as the result is based one hundred percent on viewer votes.
The [V] OZ ARTIST 2009 – TOP 50 NOMINEES were revealed today in a five hour special on Channel [V], hosted by [V]Js Renee Bargh, Danny Clayton, Jane Gazzo and Kyle Linahan with guest appearances by Aussie artists including Hilltop Hoods, Little Birdy, Bluejuice, Kisschasy, Bob Evans, Little Red and Wes Carr, who are all nominated for the award.
The TOP 50 NOMINEES are in and the time has come for you to take control. Cast your vote at www.vmusic.com.au/ozartist to support your favourite artist. But keep those votes coming if you want to see your artist advance to the next round: the Final TOP 4.
Every vote you make for [V] OZ ARTIST 2009 gives you the chance to win killer weekly prizes. On top of that you’ll go into the draw for the major prize: a $10,000 voucher courtesy of STA Travel.*
On Saturday 5 September the TOP 4 FINALISTS will be announced. Voting will continue until Saturday 10 October when the 2009 winner will be crowned.
